Pools get stained over time, although stains can be greatly minimized by simply knowing about pool chemicals and how to use. We do a lot of acid washes for pool owners who have tried to do it themselves or have simply let their pool go. Acid washes remove stains by taking off a small amount of plaster and exposing fresh plaster. Acid washes also remove algae, but to insure all the algae is killed we normally do a chlorine wash when we acid wash pools. We have done hundreds of acid washes.
